Jubilee Yacht Club stands proudly

On Beverly rocky shores.

The lounge is her eyes

looking out to the beautiful sea

and past the islands like

Marblehead and Misery. 

to where the wind blows steadily.

Then it is north, south or West.

North to Maine with its fog

and its fickle winds.

Or south of the cape

and its shallow bays

with its amazing  sunsets

at the end of day.

And there are the daring captains

that go the Florida,

Nassau and the Caymans.

Then they all come back to Jubilee

to sit in rocking chairs outside the lounge

and talk about the wonderful, dangerous sea.
