SNOWFLAKE

by John J. King

Snowflake, little snowflake,

You are so pretty;

When you cover the country,

You dress up the city.

You fall from the sky

So soft and light;

So cold, so crisp

And so white.

Rolled into balls

You can look like a man;

You're so soft and so smooth

When you cover the land.

You are nice to see

When you are new;

And when Christmas comes

I look for you.

You sparkle in the night,

And glisten in the day;

You are great for skiing,

And Santa's sleigh.

Snowflake, little snowflake

Did you know?

When you lie on the ground,

We call you snow.
