Salem bay Islands
BY joHN kING
Cooney island with seagull calls,
filLing the air.
They screech and scatter,
when boats land there.
This is a sanctuary
for the gulls, to mate and nest.
They only leave the island,
 when food is thier quest.

Eagle island looks like
 a sleeping lady.
And just enough trees to
keep her shady.
A loanly beach on the east side.
just enough water for boats,
 at high tide.
Not many gulls go thier,
NOT MUCH LIFE,
THE SLEEPING LADY,
IS THE EAST WINDS WIFE.
