She Calls To Me

Why must I always return to the sea?

Why does she always beckon to me?

I feel so serene when I am there,

And her soft waves gently

Rock my chair.

I like to hear the sea gulls cry,

And watch them gliding

High in the sky.

I am still awed

By the changing tide.

And the ocean so deep and wide.

And the familiar smells

When the tide is low,

Where does all the water really go?

Is it pulled away by the full moon?

Or does Davey Jones

Hide it in his room?

There is nothing cleaner

Than ocean air!

That's one reason I want to be there.

And to hear the waves,

Breaking on the beach.

Then they take the shells

Just out of my reach.

So I will return to the sea,

As long as she beckons to me.
