THE ELF CALLED PAUL
by John King
If you look very hard you may see;
The elf that comes up to Santa's knee.
One night in cold november,
Paul asked Santa to remember
How he had asked if he could go,
and help Santa thru the Christmas snow'
Santa said i am sorry paul you are to
slow, and to small.
Paul was determined to be fast and strong'
So he exercised hard ,and very long.
then he jumped onto Santas lap,and said.
Now can o help you with your sack?
I can run as fast as a deer,
and go down chimneys with out fear!
So Santa with out me do not leave,
i can help you on Christmass eave.
I can help fill up stockings
and set up chairs that are for rocking,
I can set up electric trains'
and fix broken toy planes..
I can decorate trees that are small,
Even build houses for dolls.
And i can drive your empty sleigh
home on Christmas day!
After we have made all the children
happy and gay.
Santa said come on paul lets go
you can start the chimneys of snow!
So away they went
with the sleig and all,
with Santa the raindeers and little Paul!
Remember children if you cant see little Paul
Its how hard you try in life;
not becaus you are,
BIG OR SMALL..
