Christmas is Coming
by John J. King
Christmas is coming, and I'm all alone;
Fifteen hundred miles away from home.
But, I have memories of Christmas gone by;
Christmas trees, candy canes and mince pies.
Children finding their gifts, under the tree;
Yelling, "Look what Santa left for me!"
"It's just what I wanted! How did he know?"
And "Do raindears fly and walk on the snow?"
"My doll is so pretty,
And her eyes close when she lies down;
Her eyes are blue and her dress is brown."
The weather is warm,
and I really miss you.
Come to my house
And make my dreams come true.
And I wish a merry Christmas to you.
